Meaning of Megan

“Megan” is not just an album; it’s a statement—a manifesto of self-love, stamina, and unapologetic femininity. Dive deep into the tracks that make this album a must-listen for both die-hard fans and newcomers alike.

From the opening track, Megan sets the tone with “Boss Talk,” a bold proclamation of her status as a leader in the game. Her lyrics cut through with the precision of a seasoned veteran, showcasing her trademark flow and lyrical prowess. Collaborations with other artists only enhance the album’s dynamic range, then each track contributing to a cohesive narrative of triumph over adversity.

Savage Beauty

One standout is “Savage Beauty,” a track that encapsulates Megan’s journey from underdog to icon. With its infectious beat and confident delivery, it’s a celebration of resilience and self-assurance. Meanwhile, “Queen’s Speech” serves as a powerful anthem for empowerment, challenging stereotypes and celebrating female strength.

“Megan” isn’t just about bravado; it’s about vulnerability too. Tracks like “Inner Demons” reveal a more introspective side of Megan, addressing personal struggles with honesty and courage. It’s this balance of swagger and sincerity that sets Megan apart as an artist who isn’t afraid to show all sides of herself.

As Megan continues to dominate the charts and captivate audiences worldwide, “Megan” solidifies her place in hip-hop history. It’s an album that not only entertains but also empowers—a testament to the transformative power of music in the hands of a true artist.

The video for “Not Like Us” was shot entirely in Lamar’s city of Compton. The victory lap for Kendrick post their rap beef would show Kendrick still taking shots at the 69 God. Visuals included K-Dot staring menacingly upon the OVO’s mascot and taking a bat to a pinata version of the owl. Lamar would also give nods to his opponent’s track “Push Ups” by busting out sets on concrete blocks.

Directed by Lamar & Dave Free, “Not Like Us” uses high still imagery and a plethora of cameos. DJ Mustard, Tommy the Clown and former Toronto Raptors star DeMar DeRozan are just a few of the faces that are recognizable in the dope music video.
