OBH Pretty Flock Unveils New Single “Chain Heavy”

Meet OBH Pretty Flock

OBH Pretty Flock, originally known as Niko, hails from the back blocks of North Philadelphia. He kickstarted his musical journey in the studio with Kurupt from the Dogg Pound and engaged in rap battles with members of Major Figgas. At one point, he even formed a rap group with Rollie, a member of Major Figgas.

Flock’s career took a significant turn when he connected with Cassidy, leading to a fruitful collaboration where they wrote and recorded music together. Pretty Flock’s debut track featured Cassidy and Shizz Lanksy, marking the beginning of his rise in the Philly rap scene.

During the height of the Philly Rap Battle DVD era, Flock made notable appearances on top DVDs like Back To The Basics and the legendary 2Raw For The Streets, firmly establishing himself in the battle rap community. He fondly remembers his epic showdown with Freeway from State Property and the chance to freestyle alongside talents like Drag-On, Peedi Crack, Cassidy, and Ar-Ab.

A CAREER SHIFT

One of the pivotal moments in Pretty Flock’s career came when he recorded with Wyclef Jean of the Fugees during a session with Cassidy from Ruff Ryders. This collaboration opened new doors for him, and he later adopted the OBH moniker after joining O.B.H. Records, led by Ar-Ab. Under this banner, Pretty Flock released several projects, including Set The Record Straight and the Sneaky Series.

Recently, he has been dropping singles that are quickly becoming Philly street classics. Notable tracks include “Broken Dreams,” featuring O.T. The Real, and “Harlemdelphia,” which showcases legends Stan Spit and Herb McGruff from Harlem, NY.

This January 2025, OBH Pretty Flock dropped his latest single, “Chain Heavy,” a tantalizing preview of his forthcoming project, G Literature. The track showcases the expertise of Philadelphia’s legendary producer Leon Huff Jr. (a.k.a. Pop Traxx) and is expertly engineered by the acclaimed Mike Jones Beats, both of whom have collaborated with major artists like Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, and State Property’s Young Gunz and more. The Real Pop from The Barbershop and Swag 100 will be managing OBH Pretty Flock and projects.

Set for a full rollout by the end of February 2025, the G Literature project will also feature contributions from fellow OBH members, including Lik Moss and Idot Jerk, with production from DJ Spontane, DJ SWAG 100, Pop Traxx, and Mike Jones Beats. In the meantime, Pretty Flock is hard at work, with plans for two additional projects, G Literature 2 and G Literature 3, following the initial release.

Recently, Pretty Flock celebrated the launch of “Chain Heavy” with a vibrant release party that attracted Philadelphia’s entertainment community. Notable attendees included his OBH label mates—OBH Lik Moss, OBH Razor, OBH Berto, and OBH C-Dot—as well as Bill Collector and H, who are behind the film Viral, now available on Tubi. Mega Heist from Behind The Brim also joined the festivities, representing his media platform, Renegade Revolver.

Obh Pretty Flock and Friends

Beyond music, OBH Pretty Flock has been making strides in acting, transitioning from supporting roles to leading parts in films like Viral. With several projects streaming on Tubi and Netflix, he stands out as an independent artist who excels in both music and film. Looking ahead, Pretty Flock aims to secure sync deals for his music, aligning his dual passions for acting and music to reach new heights.
