Motivational Moment: Love Yourself First

Hi my Beautiful Faces, I’m back again and I got some help from my girl, Mary J. Motivational Moment: Love Yourself should be the foundation to your new year. I strongly believe you can’t love someone else until you know how to love you. This may come across as cliché but it’s the truth. Have you been asked, “What do you like?”, What do you desire?”, or “What are your dreams?” but couldn’t answer. Now if this is you, it’s time to LOVE YOURSELF FIRST. An ounce of hesitation to either of these questions means you may be investing too much energy into other people.

MONTH OF LOVE

January we reset our life and set goals. February is viewed as the Month of Love in a relationship. I challenge you to make the next few weeks about you. Find ways to love you more. Work on your relationship with yourself. Take time to discover what makes you happy. Today is the perfect starting point. It’s ok to do for others but self negligence is a no no. It’s 2022 and we have work to do.

YOU ARE AMAZING

Plain and simple YOU ARE AMAZING and it’s time you act as such. Mary J. has some great new music to add to your playlist. Everyday you get up look in the mirror and tell yourself how amazing you are. The key is there must be belief in those words. Prepare for the day and let the world see you loving on YOU.

Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

Happy Monday my Beautiful Faces. It is my prayer that all is well with you and your family. September reminds us of a lot of changes and new beginnings. The year is slowly coming to an end. Holidays are on the way and for most, the kiddos have returned to school. All of these bring us joy and warm memories, but there are some people among us that see it differently. What if I told you people and organizations are using this month to bring awareness to SUICIDE? What if I told you on average 130 Americans die by suicide daily? It’s a tough thought to process, I know. Well this is why many across the world do all they can to bring awareness and prevention to light.

General Statistics (USA)

Suicide is the 10^th leading cause of death in the US for all ages. (CDC)
Every day, approximately 130 Americans die by suicide. (CDC)
There is one death by suicide in the US every 11 minutes. (CDC)
Depression affects 20-25% of Americans ages 18+ in a given year. (CDC)
An estimated 285,000 each year become suicide survivors (AAS).
There is one suicide for every estimated 25 suicide attempts. (CDC)

Let me be the first to tell you there is hope my loves. I know it’s hard for us to talk about problems and situations that are going on in our life but there are people who can help you sort things out. If you are reading this article I need you to know, TODAY, YOU GOT THIS. Your girl, KimdaSSB, had her moments as well. Yes suicide may seem like the easiest thing to do, I thought the same thing, but it’s not. With all that I have in me I encourage you to seek help. Get some positive music in your life and accept assistance. Take things one day at a time and don’t forget to LIVE LIKE ITS OUR LAST

My Beautiful Faces if you lost someone to Suicide, my thoughts are with you as well. I’m sure you have questions and not sure what to do. That is an universal feeling. One thing we all can do is educate others on the importance of the warning signs and how we can prevent the inevitable. The first thing we must do is kill the stereotypes. This issue sees no color, age, economical status nor geological location…THIS IS AN EVERYBODY’S PROBLEM. Take a couple of minutes and post tips, flyers, your story, hotline numbers, etc. on all of your social media platforms. Together we can make a difference.
