The Bulls fought back in the second half, led by DeMar DeRozan’s 26 points and nine assists. Alex Caruso added 16 points, Zach Lavine had 15, and Coby White scored 14 for the Bulls. However, it was not enough to overcome the Heat’s late-game surge.

With just over five minutes remaining in the game, Strus hit a clutch 3-pointer to tie the game at 85. The Heat then took control, with Butler scoring while getting fouled to put Miami ahead for good. He then found Strus for another 3-pointer, pushing the Heat’s lead to five. Although Strus sealed the victory with three free throws after getting fouled on a try from beyond the arc with 40 seconds remaining.

The Heat’s win gives them a first-round matchup with the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks, starting Sunday. It’s sure to be a tough challenge for Miami. With Strus and Butler firing on all cylinders, anything is possible.

Basically the Miami Heat’s hard-fought victory over the Chicago Bulls in the play-in tournament was a testament to their resilience and determination. Certainly with Strus and Butler leading the way. The Heat have earned their place in the playoffs and are ready to take on the best teams in the Eastern Conference.
