Straight Official Sit Downs: S. Deniro

S. Deniro is the featured artist for the Straight Official Sit Down this week. The East Coast rapper chopped it up with us on a wide range of topics. Check out our one-on-one with him down below!

Q&A WITH S. DENIRO

What is your Name? Where are you from and what interested you in the entertainment industry?
entertainment industry?

I go by S. Deniro! I’m from The Bronx, NY. The entertainment industry was glamorized to me by Michael Jackson. I became more in-tune with the Hip Hop culture.

Who and/or what inspires you to create?

Michael Jackson’s work is what definitely inspired me. But once I heard Wu-Tang, Mobb Deep, Onyx, Naughty By Nature, and The Lox, that’s all I wanted to hear.

How would you describe your sound?

Well some would say I have that giddy east coast New York style. I’d say my style is made from a variety of styles. I like to stay outside of the box. At any given day I can give you giddy, catchy, mellow, party, and even something for the ladies. For the most part, my style is high-octane

CREATIVE PROCESS

It doesn’t really take much. Once I hear a beat I like, the lyrics jump on the paper themselves.

.

What artist(s) would you like to collaborate with?

Right now, I’m looking to record with Jadakiss, Dave East, Fabolous, and Lil Wayne.

What is one message you would give to your supporters?

My number one message to my supporters is never stop where your started. Keep in moving to your destination. But most of all Thank You!

What is the most talent/skill you have that most people don’t know about?

Basketball. I was captain/MVP of the my High School team. It was actually my first love. I played for many teams and in many tournaments throughout the city. I came home from being locked up in 2008, and signed up for college. Went to try out for the NBA D-League. I dropped out of college after a year and made the first cut. Never made the team.

IN CLOSING

What would you be doing right now, if you weren’t doing music?

Probably looking for a 9-5 or running the streets for make ends meet.

Who are some artists/people you admire and why?

Styles P, 50 cent, Jay-z, Lil Wayne, and Kanye West. Styles has impeccable lyricism and respectable code of ethics I identify with. 50 is just ruthless man (laughs). In his work ethic and his persona and that too is something I can identify with as well. Jay-Z’s entrepreneurship is just out of this world and I would want nothing more to be just as successful as he is.

Lil Wayne has got to be one of the most witty lyricists in the game and just seems to have no limits in his creativity. The same goes for Kanye. Along with having no limits to his creativity, he’s limitless in standing his ground.

What is the best advice you’ve been given?

Love yourself, be yourself.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

The misconception of artists being idolized because of their assists, appearance, or wealth. Rather than their actual art form, personality, and achievements because of it.

STAY CONNECTED WITH S. DENIRO

What’s next for you, where would you like to see yourself in the next year?

Check out the video on my YouTube channel. You can definitely expect more music and visuals coming from me. [VIDEO] Kingg Splashh Ft. Showly “Many Tools”

You ain’t gang get the f*ck out the vehicle”

“Many Tools” @KinggSplashh

When you’re in a small state like Connecticut, there aren’t too many people making high vibe songs unless you’re like independent artist, Kingg Splashh. To start November off right, this drill rapper released a super dope video with Connecticut kinfolk, Showly. Expressing a cool demeanor with aggressive lyrics, the track embodies some of the dopest modern influences in rap.

I can feel all the hate in the air now/ I was worried back then I don’t care now/I used to be scared I don’t fear now.”

“Many Tools” @KinggSplashh

He can’t afford to be fearful. Granted that his young son, Dior, is looking for his father to be HIM. Think of what makes Connecticut notable and you probably think of nothing but politics. However, the “A.P.E. (About Paper Everyday)” artist is making noise within the music community in the Constitution State. Now, we must recognize that most people aren’t rooting for artists from the north to be the next big thing. Though admittedly, “Many Tools” showcases some of the best musicality in the region and in a very catchy way.

Showly matches the energy very well. The whole squad understood the assignment and that’s all we can ask for! From scene to scene, the performance was well executed and edited.

Whether you’re riding in the car, getting dressed for the day, or watching content for development – this is a great video! Kingg Splashh is winning on all ends.

Watch Kingg Splashh put on for his state in the “More Tools” video. Be sure to connect with him on all platforms to see what he has in store next!
