Q&A WITH TIFFANY BYNOE
What is your Name? Where you’re from and what interested you in the entertainment industry?
Tiffany Bynoe. I’m from Akron Ohio. When I was 3, my mom use to play her R&B on Saturday mornings while cleaning. She said when the music would stop, I would began to cry for her to put the music back on!
Along with seeing Howard Hewett (my uncle) perform on stage, it’s my grandmother. She was the first African American promoter, as well as inducted in the Radio Hall of Fame. Known simply as THE LADY WITH THE GOLDEN VOICE
Who and/or what inspires you to create?
First I would say THE CREATOR IN ME(GOD) second I like to listen to the music and sing what I hear the music is saying to me
How would you describe your sound?
Smooth and sultriest, I found myself singing the way everyone wanted me to until I found why I love tones and melodic flows
THE CREATIVE PROCESS
What is your creative process like?
I come up with melodies then create the music around it. What truly inspires me to create in a BIG way is how I feel..
What artist(s) would you like to collaborate with?
Kem, Usher, Neo, HER, Eric Bonet, John Legend & many more
What is one message you would give to your supporters?
I want my music to move a deep part of your emotions so you can feel my heart or the heart of what the song is saying
What is the most talent/skill you have that most people don’t know about?
I’m a author, actor, model and life coach who loves helping others. My new book is coming soon and I’m diving more into acting
What would you be doing right now if you weren’t doing music?
I would be moving, working with young and old helping them understand God. He has Placed everything we need to be successful on this earth ME you were (Made extraordinary)
IN CLOSING
Who are some artists/people you admire and why?
Diana Ross because the way she carries herself. I want to show how beauty is from the inside, therefore it shows on the outside. Too many young girls have identity problem because they look at others and judge themselves
What is the best advice you’ve received?
Always trust GOD in everything you do. If the music industry is what you want, then know the business. There are plenty of books that will help you
If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
That’s a loaded question (laughs). You know what I would change? It’s great to be young in the industry however, I believe you have nothing to release being a public figure. Substance is the key where are you leading the people. Know what and who your working with. Have a attorney explain everything.
What’s next for you? Where would you like to see yourself in the next year?
I want to be one of the first to have Smooth Jazz, Gospel and RNB moving are the same time… for me there is no separation. I like all types of music! That’s why I create my own playlist.
