Review

David Hudson is a handsome and debonair New York senator and the next shoe in for the POTUS.  Jessica, his wife, is the ultimate greedy, power, and money hungry socialite who lets him know regularly the reason she married him and love ain’t it.  Claire Collins is David’s press relations manager, who is going to help him get into the POTUS position.   David and Jessica’s marriage is holding on by the thinnest of threads and she desires to be FLOTUS in the worse way.  However, David and Claire’s relationship is wonderful; she is there for him professionally and personally; going as far as attending a dinner with a few wealthy campaign donors as he requested.  Things sort of heat up at the dinner and the book ends in the most predictable way…

Hmmm, first of all, the book is a short story that is to start off the Scandalous Anthology series.  Secondly, I hope the author got permission to write this book.  It sounds too close to the Scandal series and I am sure Shonda Rhimes and Judy Smith AKA the real Olivia Pope gonna want their cut from the sales of this book.  While there are a few significant differences in the lives of Judy Smith and Olivia Pope, it’s like the author took details of one and details of the other and tried to combine it as if a true, diehard fan of Scandal (such as myself) would not peep this!  The title and cover of the book caught my attention, so that is the only reason I got it – plus it was free.  All I can say is, if she plans to proceed with this series she might wanna step up her game with how she plans to develop it and she better check those copyright laws and get some signed contracts!

You can get this book on Amazon for free in Kindle version.  It is not available in Nook version, for iBooks, or Google Play.

Until next time,

Peace,
